This is too sadly true. The only way to prevent STIs and unwanted pregnancies is good, truthful, thorough information about sex, anatomy, protection, and consent. Without these frank discussions about human sexuality, we ignore the very things that make us human. No one can ever avoid the things in humanity that make us who we are. To pretend that we can is to be willfully ignorant.
