You make a lot of good points. I homeschooled, too, and my sons are well educated. One has a B.S. in architecture and the other is finishing up his last two classes for his B.S. in chemistry.

Not everyone has good outcomes in schooling--professional OR amateur. I think that it’s more important to support all kinds of educators than to dismiss parents as amateurs when raising children to be aware critical thinkers and good citizens and people.
