Invasion of privacy is still invasion of privacy — no matter WHAT age the person is. I think that your feelings were quite natural and normal. And of course, since YOU had no control of the information that was being broadcasted about you, it had to have felt like a huge violation.

I’m a few decades older, and while I’d been on Instagram and Twitter for a brief time period — it was too easy to be all out there at once. I, too, have yanked all my content in favor of a little more privacy. And while I do tell stories of my sons in the past, I don’t divulge their names, locations, or faces. Plus we talk about things. I try to respect any and all boundaries they put into place.
