I'm personally going the tiny house route simply because I owned a large house, and I'm exhausted from the upkeep. I want to be able to travel, and a tiny house brings me the freedom to do so on my own terms. Yes, the smaller environmental footprint is attractive. But so is the idea that I'm not stuck in any one place.
