I downsized from a 1750 sq ft house to a 335 sq ft apartment, and plan to downsize to a 192 sq ft house. If we look at how we live intentionally, it's easier to see how much stuff rules our lives versus how we use stuff to make our lives better/easier.
There are a few minimalists out there who play the game of getting rid of as much stuff as possible, but I find it's better to say, "What is considered enough in my life that I can be content?"
That contentment looks different for every person, as it should. For me, though, having to clean/maintain a bunch of stuff simply isn't worth the time cost.
