I completely agree with this.

I also blame trickle-down economics and Milton Friedman's indoctrination of corporations. (Ok, and the fact that we nearly never hold companies accountable for the terrible things they do to society.)

We need to stop worshipping get-rich-quick schemes, struggle porn, cheap labor, and environmentally damaging products.
